Blank Rome is an international law firm with over 500 attorneys. Mr. Rappaport’s practice primarily consists of advising and executing mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions. He also serves as “outside general counsel” to a number of emerging and middle market companies who rely on Mr. Rappaport directly for general corporate counsel and to coordinate other resources of the firm in the areas of intellectual property, labor, regulatory matters, litigation, tax, and government relations. He actively advises and assists clients in the manufacturing, business services, energy and clean technology, technology and software, healthcare information technology, life sciences, and internet services industries to achieve their legal and business goals.
Since 1997, Mr. Rappaport has served as a lecturer at Villanova University School of Law for the courses “Business Acquisitions” and “Counseling Emerging Businesses.”
Mr. Rappaport is a member of the Ben Franklin Technology Partners Investment Advisory Committee and a board member and co-chair of educational programming for the Private Investors Forum Angel Venture Fair. Furthermore, Mr. Rappaport is the co-chair for educational programming for the Vision to Value program at Early Stage East. Mr. Rappaport actively participates in Early Stage East, the HIMSS Health IT Venture Fair, the MAC Alliance Conference and ACG’s M&A East.
Mr. Rappaport graduated with honors in Finance and Economics from the University of Delaware and earned a Juris Doctorate with honors from the Villanova University School of Law.
