Eric Hawthorn
Mr. Hawthorn joined Llenrock Group in 2011. With many years of experience in writing, editing, and publishing online content, he serves as Llenrock’s Social Media Associate. In this role, he oversees the content and development of Llenrock’s online presence. Mr. Hawthorn holds a B.A. from Arcadia University and an M.F.A. from Naropa University.
David B. Weinstein
David B. Weinstein joined Llenrock Group, LLC in June 2008 as a Principal. He brings 12 years of commercial real estate experience in acquisitions, structured finance, and as a principal investor in both multi-family and hotel properties.
Most recently, Mr. Weinstein served as a Vice President of Foreign Exchange trading at JPMorgan Chase, where he was responsible for managing up to $500 million of emerging market risk on a daily basis. Before then, he was with a private multi-family and hotel family office investor. There Mr. Weinstein was instrumental in the acquisition of more than $500 million of real estate, resulting in ownership of more than 15,000 multi-family units and 2,000 hotel rooms for the firm. Mr. Weinstein also previously worked in the corporate development arm of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he managed projects involving all facets of the hospitality industry, including food and beverage, operations, and corporate level mergers and acquisitions.
He received a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Cornell University.
Josh Sapienza
Prior to joining Llenrock Group, LLC in 2011, Mr. Sapienza was a commercial agent in the hospitality division at Legend Properties, Inc. There, he specialized in tenant representation and business brokerage for local and regional restaurant owners, chefs and operators. Mr. Sapienza has 20 years’ experience in restaurant operations, including management positions in Philadelphia-based Starr Restaurants and California-based Grill Concepts, and as an independent advisor for Chipotle Mexican Grill in the Northeast. Mr. Sapienza has also provided organizational development and support services to multi-unit owners requiring the development of scalable platforms and deal structures for expansion.
